On December 1 last year, Amurrion, we launched a conflict management course as an effective alternative to combat violence. This time, we were welcomed by the Center for Advanced Education and offered our space to develop a training course. During this training, we had to take all the necessary health measures and force us to organize small groups of students. The course took place from 17:00 to 19:00 and was organized by the Forum of Societies.

As we predicted, on December 1 last year, an exhibition on the former head of health at Alfreo Espinosa Orive was opened at the South African Youth Center. Espinosa was arrested in April 1937 for treason and tried in Gasteiz and shot two days after his arrest in that city. Although little known, the letter he addressed to the then President, Jose Antonio Aguirre, moved all those who had read it because of the terrible humanism that lay there. For Espinosa had written a letter a few hours before his execution, where he was not only asking for protection for his family, but also intervened for the fascists who might have been sentenced to death.The exhibit will be open until December 15 to be delivered to the Basque Social Center…

As a result of the settlement promised in March, we had to abandon all of the normal training activities we develop. But now we shall resume our face-to-face preparations. That is by taking all the security measures necessary to ensure the maximum security of the participants. Besides wearing a mask, washing your hands with hydroalcoholic gel as you enter the compound, and airing rooms frequently, we have reduced content and increased the safety range between those who come in. Our training courses in the HKUs, in partnership with the Human Rights and Bake Action Forum, are one of the first activities that reinvigorate their course. We'll announce the date of our next training properly.
