The 11th edition of "Bilboko Gaiak" will be held on July 8, 15, 22 and 29. As every year, the usual shops in Bilbao will become the protagonists of this activity, in which we will be able to get to know directly the long-haul shops full of history. With the help of a guide, in addition to knowing different corners of the city, we will listen to the anecdotes of the shops, their experiences and their evolution over the years from their current owners. On May 13, a course on speeches and hate crimes due to sexual orientation and gender identity was given at the Paulo Freire Permanent Adult Training Center in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The course started at 10:30 in the morning and ended two hours later. The facilitator was Elena Olaortua, where about twenty people gathered.
This past Tuesday, May 4, we have developed a training workshop on interculturality and coexistence at the Center for Permanent Adult Education in Durango. Beatriz Pérez and Mamadu Ngom have been the coordinators of the same, and it has brought together about twenty people of different nationalities.
As we had announced, this Wednesday, April 14, at the Calle Francia Adult Education Center in Vitoria-Gasteiz, we have given the workshop on “Interpersonal relationships. Empathy with others to live in society ”. Mikel Oribe, director of the Basque School of Sex Education, has been the coordinator of this meeting. The next training will take place on May 4 in Durango, and will deal with "Interculturality and coexistence"
The confinement that all Basques and Basques suffered during the spring of 2020 has marked a before and after in the consumption of digital media. Due to the significant influx of visitors and the impact it has had on local society, we have extended the duration of the exhibition on Alfredo Espinosa in Zarautz. The sample should have been withdrawn on Monday, March 15, but will remain open for another week, until next Monday, March 22. As in previous years, we resumed the workshops to work and promote the values of Peace and Coexistence in our society. From March to June we will give a total of seven workshops in as many educational centers in the Basque Autonomous Community: Durango, Tolosa and Vitoria-Gasteiz will be the first municipalities where we will be. Once the final dates and times have been specified, we will inform you of them.
The Zarautz market square (at Kale Nagusia 27) hosts, between March 8 and 13, the traveling exhibition on the ill-fated Minister of Health of the first Basque Government, Alfredo Espinosa, who has previously visited Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao. The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
